Product Details

Sofosbuvir (generic name) is a nucleotide analog inhibitor. It is a prescription drug which is sold under the brand name- Sovaldi (Trade name). Healthcare specialist may use the trade name when prescriber referring to the generic drug name. It is an antiviral drug which is used for the treatment of hepatitis C. It is available in tablet formulation.


  • Take Sofosbuvir exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Do not take this medicine in a smaller or larger amount or for longer than recommended.
  • The dosage of the drug depends on the weight, age, height or medical condition of the patient and depend on many factors, then your prescriber will determine your dose schedule. 

What if you miss a dose Sofosbuvir.: -

  • Atazanavir (Reyataz), tipranavir or nelfinavir (Viracept), which are medications used to treat HIV.
  • Blood thinners- Warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven) 
  • Certain antiseizure medications, such as carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, and phenytoin.
  • Certain antibiotics, such as rifampin, rifapentine, and rifabutin.
