CHEMICAL NAME Quinine Sulfate (KWEYE-nine)
Qualaquin (Quinine Sulfate) is a medication used to treat malaria caused by mosquito bites. The parasites can enter into the body using the method and multiply in red blood cells.
In some instances, the doctor may recommend medication like Primaquine to kill the parasites. The medication belongs to the class of drugs called as antimalarials. However, it cannot be used for preventing the malaria.
Common side effects of using Qualaquin (Quinine Sulfate) are - mild headache, flushing, sweating, nausea, ringing in ears, dizziness, change in color vision, blurred vision, etc.
