Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension 0.5% is used to treat certain eye conditions due to inflammation or injury. Lotemax Eye Drop is also used after eye surgery. Loteprednol works by relieving symptoms such as swelling, redness, and itching. Lotemax Eye Drop belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids.
How to use Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension 0.5%
Use of Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension 0.5% may cause irritation and discomfort immediately on application. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. Unless otherwise directed by your doctor, do not wear contact lenses while you are using this medicine. Sterilize contact lenses according to the manufacturer's directions, and check with your doctor before you begin using them again.
Common side effects of Lotemax Ophthalmic Suspension include:
stinging or burning of the eyes for 1 to 2 minutes and
temporary blurred vision when you apply this medication.
Other side effects of Loteprednol Etabonate Ophthalmic Suspension 0.5% include:

being more sensitive to light,
