The active ingredient Sodium Cromoglycate belongs to a group of medicines called anti-inflammatory/anti-allergy agents. Sodium Cromoglycate Eye Drops used in allergic eye disorders.



  • Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • This medicine is for external use only. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid.
  • Instill one or two drops into the conjunctival sac of the eye and close your eyes for at least 10 minutes(Dosage depends on age, weight, medical condition and on various factor) so consult your healthcare provider


What if you miss a dose of Sodium Cromoglycate.:-

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.


How Sodium Cromoglycate works.:-

It works by preventing the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. It is a mast cell stabilizer. It works on certain cells in the body to prevent them from releasing substances that cause allergic reactions. It acts by blocking the release of inflammatory mediators such as leukotrienes, platelet activation factor, and interleukin which is a mainly responsible for allergic symptoms of eye.


Sodium Cromoglycate side effects.:-

Sodium Cromoglycate may cause some side effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, please call your healthcare specialist.


  •  A white patches or sores inside your mouth or on your lips
  •  Tight feeling in the chest.
  •  Headache, feeling irritable.
  •  Rash, itching
  •  Trouble swallowing
  •  Sneezing, stuffy nose.
  •  Mild wheezing
  •  Stinging sensation
